Sugie Bear
SUGIE BEAR

Intro:                She was born in nineteen seventy seven,
A little girl, a gift from God in Heaven.
A wee baby angel with a full head of hair,
She was her daddy's sweet little sugie bear.

Verse #1:         She was injured while still in the hospital,
A very bad hematoma from a fall.
She had jaundice, her bilirubin was high,
It broke all our hearts to hear her tiny cry ---

Chorus:           She was a very special little baby,
With quite a warm and bright personality.
A wee baby angel with a full head of hair,
She was her daddy's sweet little sugie bear.

Verse #2:         When she was finally allowed to go home,
The lump on baby's head still looked like a dome.
Doctor Terry said she would need surgery,
And that she might be disabled mentally ---

Verse #3:         Pastor Clifton came by to visit one day,
He laid on hands, he prayed, the lump went away.
She was a baby with a glow in her eyes,
Full of a bright spirit way beyond her size ---

Verse #4:         She had big brown eyes and the prettiest smile,
Since Cleopatra sailed up and down the Nile.
She could melt down a block of ice with one look,
And read her daddy just like an open book.

(For Rebecca LaNetta Denton who celebrated her 18th birthday on September 5th, 1995!)
